Global Liquidity Platform Implementation

The Global Commercial, Corporate and Investment Banking Technology department of a global Investment Bank required a custom Global Liquidity Platform be created. Figment were engaged to provide technical architecture, development and analysis services on this award winning project, within an existing Agile environment.

Risk and Valuations Data Warehouse Implementation

The Market Risk department of a global Investment Bank required a custom global data warehouse be created providing End of Day, Front Office calculated Risk and Valuations data. Figment were engaged to lead this project, collaborating with other external and internal development and business consultants. Figment introduced Agile methods via training and coaching resulting in continuous delivery of functionality to Risk Managers. In addition, technical leadership, near-term (iteration) project management and technical architecture and development services were provided. The project was regarded as a flagship example within the department and allowed the bank to meet strict FSA deadlines for risk reporting.

Fair Value Loan Pricing Implementation

The Credit Asset Management arm of an Investment Bank required their loan pricing methodology be brought in-line with Fair Value Accounting regulations. Figment were engaged to implement a suitable pricing methodology. Figment designed and implemented a service that calculated the price of loans and integrated the service into existing systems. Data Warehouse Decommission

The Credit Risk department of an Investment Bank required their custom global data warehouse be decommissioned. Figment were engaged to deliver the project. Figment analysed external system dependencies, migrated outstanding clients and coordinated the decommission with business, development and infrastructure teams. The warehouse was successfully deactivated on time and saved the bank further support and maintenance costs.

Prototype System Diagnostic Tool Implementation

An Internet Services firm required the creation of an application to evaluate the resources of a Windows system and diagnose potential problems. Figment were engaged to conduct a feasibility study and provide a prototype solution. Figment analysed the problem space, researched suitable technologies and developed a proof of concept prototype.
